Sanitary Design

  • Sanitary Design Compliance: GOE designs equipment to meet various sanitary standards, including BISSC (Baking Industry Sanitary Standards), GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association), USDA, & 3A, depending on the application. Sprayer areas are considered “wet-clean,” ensuring effective sanitation.
  • Application-Specific Standards: For oil & sugar spray applications, BISSC & GMA standards are followed, while products like meat, cheese, or those containing these components require USDA & 3A compliance.
  • Cleanability & Access: The equipment is designed to drain properly with no harborage areas. Liquid lines feature easily disassembled tri-clamp & JIC fittings, & hinged covers provide access for cleaning. Key access doors allow for inspection & manual cleaning. Outside the spray area, paint-free motors & gear reducers are used, & stand-offs prevent dirt accumulation by eliminating sandwich areas.
  • Smooth, Hygienic Surfaces: Product-contact areas are polished with smooth, continuous welds. Outside of the product zone, welds are continuous & finished to match sanitary design standards, ensuring easy cleaning & long-term durability.

  • Liquid lines are equipped with tri-clamp & JIC fittings, allowing easy disassembly for cleaning purposes.
  • Access doors & hinged covers are strategically placed to provide convenient inspection & manual cleaning access points.
  • Paint-free motors & gear reducers are used outside the spray area, while stand-offs & eliminated flat surfaces minimize areas where dirt or debris could accumulate.
  • Attention is given to surface finishes, with product areas polished and smooth continuous welds applied to meet sanitary design requirements.
