Egg wash, “Bake-sheen”, and others are used to give product a shine or to aid adhesion of toppings. The dispersion drums are highly tolerant of topping debris and require minimal straining to keep the system operating.

Many competitive systems are once through and don’t recover overspray. The VPLS system recycles and reuses overspray to reduce costs.
